Comprising a private suite on the ground and first floors of the Carnegie Wing, guest accommodation is elegant and spacious and is accessed via a magnificent oak staircase, the dominant feature of the entrance and main halls. From the comfortable drawing room and well equipped kitchen and dining rooms, to the five highly appointed en-suite bedrooms every guest convenience is provided for with all modern fittings and appliances. The decor and furnishings are sympathetically in keeping with the age and grandeur of the property and the views are outstanding. Open Easter to end September each year. - Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible by Trains from Stirling.
- There is no public transport from Stronvar so cars are essential .
- Local Village shops (Strathyre and Lochearnhead both with post offices) are excellent for all general groceries (And local gossip and advice!) Callander 12 miles (16km) away has two supermarkets.
- Churches:Balquhidder is Presbyterian, Lochearnhead is Episcopalian and there is also Roman Catholic in Callander and all are very welcoming.
- Sports centre with swimming pool at Callander. Tennis in Strathyre.
- Our garden is secluded and there is free access to all the countryside and mountains.
