Description of the hostel
In our 6-10 bed rooms we can put up till 52 people. In the small lounge you can watch TV, or play games like darts, chess, cards.. If you wish, we can serve breakfast, even half-board too.
In the big garden (1500 m2), there is a parking area and you have the possibility to grill, play games etc.
In view of the style and the price, our guesthouse is rather a Youth hostel. So it is foremost ideal for students, associations, friends, or bigger families. We also welcome such backpackers, who do not mind sharing their room with others for some nights.
The upstairs part of the Café is arranged in lounge style. There are comfortable armchairs and sofas, books, magazines, cards, games and INTERNET for free. A 2 x 3 m big wall-projector makes your stays pleasant.

Surroundings:
Everyone who visits Keszthely should not miss the Castle Festetics and the Balaton Museum, but Keszthely's countryside is also very beautiful like for example the mountains of Keszthely with a clearing called "big meadow" in Gyenesdiás. The big meadow is one of the most popular places in the area. It has got a football ground, a fireplace, a training place and a lookout tower. Another sightseeing is Castle Rezi, which is also placed in the area around Keszthely. The castle is 4km away from the village with the same name and is easy to reach on foot. There is a great sight from the dolomite rock, which is 418m high.
On the northern coastline there you can find an Africa Museum in Balatonederics, which seems to trans-form a little Africa to the Balaton. The museum is surrounded by a safari-park.
5km further there is Castle Szigliget, which can be reached by bike, but also by bus. For visiting it there is a low entry fee to pay. These takings are used to resurrect the castle.
Following the coastline you will reach Badacsony, where you can visit the Kisfaludy -house and several wine cellars. You can also admire the beautiful view over the Balaton.´
Those who would like to go on a little longer trip could for example visit castle Sümeg. It is said to be the castle which is in the best shape on the western side of the Danube.One reason for that is ,that this castle was never occupied.
Tapolca is 26km away from Keszthely. It is popular because of the caves in the town in which you can make boat trips. Not far away there is the Mill lake, which has very romantic surroundings.
