Only 30 minutes to the amazing Volcano National Park - close enough for trips to the live volcano at night! Surrounded by unique natural beauty: waterfalls, orchid farms, black sand beaches, rainforests, miles of deserted coastline, naturally heated tide pools, tremendous crashing surf.

At Hale Mar itself, you can picnic by the sea and catch fish from your backyard, watch whales and dolphins from your bed, and bask in the hot tub under a starry sky. Exercise in paradise in your 38'' private lap style swimming pool by the sea, or use the gym equipment in the master bedroom suite (stairmaster, elliptical machine, freeweights, exercise videos, all with a view of the ocean.) Visit the wonderful local Farmers Markets for fresh tropical fruits, fish and flowers, and cook a gourmet feast in your fully equipped kitchen, or visit the local markets for pre-prepared delicacies like ahi Poke and teriaki. (Lots of restaurants nearby too.)

Furnished as three private bedrooms and an office with desk, fax machine and voicemail, Hale Mar is suitable for singles, couples or families. There is no minimum stay except during holidays, so it''s easy to combine a visit at Hale Mar with your tour of other islands.
